Changelog

What has shipped, and what’s next.

InspectorKit is built and run by one person. This is the plain record of what has changed, in real dates. No roadmap theater, no vaporware.

August 23, 2026Fixed

Access repair, team shortcut, and Practice House plumbing copy

The account-access page now recognizes a signed-in workspace, /team opens Team settings, builder secondary controls meet the 36px tap target, and Practice House water-supply piping no longer keeps roof-flashing wording.

Crop and annotate photos in the field

Pin a finding on the photo, crop the frame, and move or remove markers without starting over. Empty photo slots also take a drop from the camera roll.

August 22, 2026Improved

Clearer numbers on the public site

The marketing pages now report traffic with Vercel Web Analytics, so we can see which walkthroughs and sample reports people actually finish.

August 22, 2026Improved

We can rebuild a template from an old report

Send a past report as text or PDF and we can extract the sections, checklist items, and the language you actually write — then load it as the live template on purpose, not by accident.

August 22, 2026Fixed

Practice House, library dupes, and inspection dates

Practice plumbing findings seed correctly, saving a comment no longer doubles it in the library, and inspection dates stay on your local calendar day instead of shifting overnight.

July 5, 2026Shipped

Your report template is now yours to edit

Add, rename, and reorder the sections and items every new inspection starts from. New reports build from your layout, not a fixed one.

A real comment library you can manage

Browse, edit, delete, and bulk-import your saved comments — and a Field-Tested Narrative Pack of 65+ professional narratives now comes built in, organized by system and severity.

July 5, 2026Shipped

Voice dictation in the field

Talk your narrative and summary notes in when your hands are busy on a ladder or in a crawlspace. It drops straight into the field.

July 5, 2026Improved

The report your client receives got a redesign

A branded cover in your own color, a condition scorecard with a plain-English rating legend, a summary that reads like a punch list, and larger annotated photos. There is a complete interactive sample you can read before buying.

July 5, 2026Improved

Faster pages and cleaner tracking

Marketing pages load lighter on phones, and a checkout bug that could double-count started sessions is fixed.

July 3, 2026Improved

Whole-app design pass

The app and marketing pages moved onto one consistent, field-ready visual system.

June 25, 2026Shipped

Public launch groundwork

Hosted checkout, secure webhooks, the sample-report walkthrough, and first-party marketing analytics went live.

June 24, 2026Shipped

The foundation
